You are living with a hostile intruder, and it’s set up an outpost inside your head.

It’s hidden from view – and, at the same time, it’s everywhere. It whispers when you reach in the fridge or take a break from your to-do list. It nags from the passenger seat of your car and looks over your shoulder at work, telling you what you’re doing wrong. It judges and badgers you almost every moment of every single day.

Book Reviews
★★★★★

I read this book at the recommendation of a friend. My first thought was “I am not a bully” but as I turned the pages and got into Salee’s easy style, short chapters, clear headings and take-away quotes I started listening to my inner voice. If you have ever set aside your true self because of the need to please another, if you have ever wondered “what is wrong with me,” if your actions are driven by obligation or guilt avoidance, then you have something to learn in this book. The flow is logical, moving from identifying your inner bully to how to fully show up for yourself and nurture self-tenderness rather than criticism. I recommend this book for anyone who wonders if their perfectionism is an attribute or a problem and for those whose may be uncomfortable with where they are right now and want to focus a bit more on self care. This book will not disappoint.

In “Transcend Your Inner Bully”, the Author uses real life people and experiences (including her own) to help the reader identify their own self sabotage and negative self-talk. Then following along on their unique journeys, you will learn skills to challenge those trained behaviors and damaging thoughts. This book will help teach how to silence the destructive dialogue that you speak to yourself. I struggle with being a perfectionist and constantly feeling like doing more is still never enough. Reading this book has empowered me with the tools to flip my script. I can honestly say that “Transcend Your Inner Bully”, has encouraged me to look at myself differently…with more loving kindness!
